John 6:21

King James Bible

"Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went."

Commentary

After witnessing Jesus walk on water, the disciples' fear transforms into eager acceptance, welcoming him aboard. This marks a turning point from terror to faith, as they recognize his divine authority over nature and choose to trust him despite the supernatural circumstances. John records a second miracle—the boat's instantaneous arrival at their destination once Jesus enters. This supernatural transportation emphasizes that Christ's presence brings not only peace but completion of their journey, suggesting spiritual fulfillment when believers receive him.
