King James Bible
"And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven."
Jesus asserts that no human has gone up to heaven to gain divine knowledge firsthand. This challenges claims of heavenly visions or mystical ascents common in Jewish apocalyptic literature, establishing that heavenly truth must come down rather than be sought above. The exception is one who originated in heaven and descended to earth. This identifies Jesus as uniquely qualified to reveal heavenly realities because he is from heaven itself, not merely a recipient of visions. Jesus identifies himself using Daniel's messianic title while making the paradoxical claim of being simultaneously in heaven while speaking on earth. This points to his divine nature and omnipresence, transcending normal human limitations.
