Commentary

Paul expresses his intense frustration with the Judaizers who insisted on circumcision, using a shocking wordplay that suggests they should go beyond circumcision to castration. This harsh rhetoric reflects the severity of the threat these false teachers posed to the gospel of grace. The agitators were disturbing the Galatian churches by undermining Paul's teaching and creating division.
